چکیده

We present a fully microscopic study of the O+Pb fusion using the density-constrained time-dependent Hartree-Fock theory. The calculated fusion cross-sections are in good agreement with the experimental data for the entire energy range indicating that the incorporation of dynamical effects is crucial in describing heavy-ion fusion. Nucleon-Nucleon Cross Sections in Nuclear Matter

We provide a microscopic calculation of neutron-proton and neutron-neutron cross sections in symmetric nuclear matter at various densities, using the Brueckner-Hartree-Fock approximation scheme with the Paris potential. We investigate separately the medium eeects on the eeective mass and on the scattering amplitude. We determine average cross sections suitable for application in the dynamical s...

Calculation of Quasi-one-dimensional Interacting Electron Gas Using the Hartree-Fock Method

In this paper, the Hartree-Fock method has been formulated to investigate some of the ground state properties of quasi-one-dimensional interacting electron gas in the presence of the magnetic field. The bare coulomb interaction between electrons has been assumed. For this system, we have also computed some of its thermodynamic and magnetic properties such as the energy, pressure, incompressibil...

A many-body calculation of Li is presented where the only input is the welltested, finite-range D1S effective interaction of Gogny. Pairing correlations are included in a constrained Hartree-Fock-Bogolyubov calculation, while long-range collective correlations are introduced using a GCM derived calculation. Correlations are found to play an important role in describing Li. A substantive underly...

To facilitate the relativistic heavy-ion calculations based on transport equations , the binary collisions involving a ∆ resonance in either the entrance channel or the exit channel are investigated within a Hamiltonian formulation of πN N interactions. An averaging procedure is developed to define a quasi-particle ∆ * and to express the experimentally measured N N → πN N cross section in terms...

Quantum microscopic approach to low-energy heavy ion collisions

The Time-dependent Hartree-Fock (TDHF) theory is applied to the study of heavy ion collisions at energies around the Coulomb barrier. The competition between fusion and nucleon transfer mechanisms is investigated. For intermediate mass systems such as O+Pb, proton transfer favors fusion by reducing the Coulomb repulsion. A comparison with sub-barrier transfer experimental data shows that pairin...
